Outsiders operates an open, rolling submissions programme because we show shorts and features throughout the year, at our monthly screenings and during the main festival. This year the 5th annual Outsiders Film Festival takes place from Thursday 18th October to Saturday 1st November 2008.  
 
It couldn’t be easier to submit your film for consideration. There is no entry fee and no form to fill in. It doesn’t matter whether your film is a short, feature or documentary – we show all sorts. It doesn’t matter whether you shot it on film or video. Nor does it matter what format you have your film on now – if we like it we’ll try to show it from the best available materials.  
 
All you have to do is to send a copy of your film on DVD or VHS with your email address to our programmer, Joan Burnett:

There is no deadline because we accept submissions all the time. However if you want your film to be considered for screening during the main festival then the deadline is Wednesday 1st August 2007. This gives Michelle, Joan and myself time to complete our programming by our copy deadline.  
 
N. B. Remember, Outsiders is a lesbian & gay film festival. There’s no point sending us films which don’t have any LGBT or Queer content (unless you’re Todd Haynes).
