Welcome to the Outsiders Gallery!

Chris Bernard, Outsiders Patron, does his bit to make up for a low turnout on the day by making as much noise as possible during the one minute protest!

Stephen Twigg, former Labour MP (and conqueror of Michael Portillo in Enfield Southgate back in 1997) addresses the crowds at the IDAHO (International Day Against Homophobia) demo on Thursday 17th May.

“We few - we happy few.” Well done to everybody who came out to mark IDAHO 2007. Because of you it’ll be bigger and better next year!

Queuing round the block for Hello Americans: Simon Callow on Orson Welles at FACT back in June 2006. And there’s one of our trustees, Martin Huiskens, in the bottom right-hand corner!

The wonderful Mr. Simon Callow signing autographs and books for his adoring fans in the FACT café after the Hello Americans event.

Simon and Joan Burnett (our lesbian programmer) after the signing in the FACT cafe. We all went for a meal afterwards and got fantastically drunk!

Outsiders mascot Lady Shaun bigging up La Cage aux Folles at the Philharmonic Hall for our 3rd birthday party, one week after the Simon Callow event in June 2006.

And while Lady Shaun was outside the Phil, mounted police turned up to see what all the fuss was about. Moments later the horse on the left started eating Shaun’s hat!

The night of La Cage aux Folles at the Philharmonic Hall back in June 2006. Left, Gary Millar, saviour of the Parr Street Studios, with Dean Sullivan and a friend.

The opening night of Outsiders 2006 at FACT. Left, Ms. Djuna Bel, producer of Wild Tigers I Have Known, middle, Mr. Cam Archer, director of Wild Tigers I Have Known and, right, living legend Ms. Cathy Tyson! Thanks for coming Cathy!

Zoran Blackie, Outsiders trustee, looking fabulous on the Outsiders 2006 opening night after party in 3345 Parr Street and me, Matt, looking pasty, damn it!

More from the opening night of Outsiders 2006 at 3345: left, Vicki Wheeler, LGBT rights activist, middle, Michelle Mangan, Outsiders trustee & programmer and right, Labour Councillor Steve Munby caught drink-in-hand. Sorry Steve!

Local hero & actor Dean Sullivan and gay author John Sam Jones at the opening night after party.

And finally from our opening night – Rose Troche, director of Go Fish and lead director on The L Word, with Michelle and Vicki (again).

The opening night of Homotopia 2006: Outsiders mascot Lady Shaun and star singer Jennifer John in the Residents Lounge of the Hope Street Hotel.

The opening night of Homotopia 2006: Michelle (again) looking fabulous as ever and the director of Homotopia Gary Everett, our key partner in 2004, 2005 and 2006. Thank you Gary!
