Submit a Film to outsiders

Outsiders operates an open, rolling submissions programme because we show shorts and features throughout the year, at our monthly screenings and during the main festival.

It couldn’t be easier to submit your film for consideration. There is no entry fee and no form to fill in. It doesn’t matter whether your film is a short, feature or documentary – we show all sorts. It doesn’t matter whether you shot it on film or video. Nor does it matter what format you have your film on now – if we like it we’ll try to show it from the best available materials.

All you have to do is to send your films to:

There is no deadline because we accept submissions all the time. However if you want your film to be considered for screening during the main festival then the deadline is August 2009. This gives us time to complete our programming by our copy deadline.

N. B. Remember, Outsiders is a lesbian & gay film festival. There’s no point sending us films which don’t have any LGBT or Queer content (unless you’re Todd Haynes).

Please note we cannot return any of the materials submitted to us.
